You should use whatever grade of gasoline is recommended by the manufacturer. Using a higher grade can be harmful to some cars. The fuel injectors and engine are set up to run on a specific grade.
The most important thing is to follow the manufacturer's suggested maintenance and get regular oil changes - every 3,000 miles.
Drive like the police are behind you - no jackrabbit stops or starts, no excessive speeding (most cars aren't made to go 85 MPH for long distances), etc.

Read the owners manuel cover to cover for starters.
Do the recommended oil changes with the correct oil at the predetermined mileages or time frames.
Get it tuned up every other year.
Rotate the tires after the recommended mileage and then replace as needed.
Use the octane gas rated for that vehicle.
Change the air filter at every oil change.
That should do you well.

You'd be surprised how much it helps to do some very basic things:
1) Get the oil changed along with changing the oil filter, and a basic lubrication and check-up, every 3,000 miles or 3 mos, whichever comes sooner.
2)Keep your tires inflated to the correct inflation.
Good luck!

Many studies have shown that a better gas will have no impact on the car (unless it is really required by the car).
Routine maint is the key: oil change, coolant, etc.
You've got a manual- I'd use it. If you don't have one, order one and then use it.

Make sure you get your oil changed every 3,000 miles. Get tune ups when necessary and check your fluid levels. Routine maintenance will extend the life of your vehicle.

Make sure you check the fluids regularly and have your car checkups and oil changes done when there due. Regular maintenance checks should keep it in top running condition.

Keep up on oil changes... scheduled tune-ups... and quality gas- Exxon, Mobile, Chevron, etc... keep the tires properly inflated- this may sound odd but it puts less wear on the engine and gives you better gas mileage.
Most importantly.... Drive safe & resposibly.
