I just got a new Kenmore refrigerator with ice maker. I installed the water line following the directions exactly. I let it go for a few hours. It made a few pieces of ice. I looked behind and there was water on the floor. The connection at the fridge was leaking. I tried tightening it but no luck. I cut the end and put on a new compresion nut but that did not help. It appears that the leak is not from the compression nut but rather were the blue plastic first contacts the metal piece that the ferrule screws onto. I also noticed a good amount of water in the evaporation pan.

Call Kenmore as it should still be under warranty. Maybe it's a lemon.
