1) 4√16 = 4√(4*4) = 4*4 = 16

2) √30/ √3 = (√30 /√3)* (√3 /√3)=

( √30)*(√3)/ 3 = (√90) /3 = [ √(9*10) ] /3 = (3√10) /3 = √10
or simply: √30/√3 = √ (30/3) = √10

1) 16^(1/4) = 2
2) (30^(1/2))/(3^1/2) = (30^(1/2)*3^(1/2))/(3^(1/2)*3^(1/2)) = 3(10^(1/2)/3 = 10^(1/2)

You don't use the carat to represent the degree of the root. Anyway, your answers are 2 and √10.
