It has been whispered that while the election process and the swearing in of the president commences, gas will reach an all time high.

i am going to start to walk to work or ride a bike . let them repossess my car this country is full of whinny people that will not stand up to the system instead we allow them to do as they please an rape us . i say start blowing up sonme gas stations in the name of freedom hi-jacking some fuel trucks and blocking up out highways. We need to become terriorist to be reconized by our country . show them we are feed up stop bitching an take action .

The prices will keep going up while we keep buying big thirsty trucks instead of more economical cars. I'm not willing to pay $4 for gallon, but do we have a choise? Alternative fuel may help a little, but it won't solve the problem.
I think if everyone will buy next car that is more economical (e.g, Ford Escape instead of Ford Expedition) - the prices will be under control.

Sure, gasoline at $4/gallon is still cheap compared to everything else in the world that we use. I believe alternative fuel sources may become cost effective between $5-$7/gallon. At that point alternative fuels may be the better choice.

I live in Ireland, and we are paying around $7 per US gallon (€1.14 per litre). People are still driving about as much as ever. Price won't stop consumption. The easiest way to solve this problem is to start using bio-fuels rather than relying on invading middle eastern countries for their oil.
