want to come to the falls either the 4th or 11th of oct to see the colour changes, need to know about when peek time would be thanks in advance email: kobycar@ameritech.net

While it can vary a lot, depending on how hot and wet the year was, that's about the right time for travelling to see the colours. If you use this map from the US, you can see that mid-October is the average peak time for Niagara Falls.

While you're here, I would recommend the gorge trails, found north of the falls as a great spot for hiking. If you want to go on much larger hikes, Short Hills Provincial Park, about 20-30 minutes west of Niagara Falls would be a great spot for you.

This area is defined as Carolinian forest, and is the northernmost reach for it, so the types of trees you'll see here are quite different than what you'll find north of Toronto. Enjoy!
