American culture is a mixture of cultures from all over the world. It is also the culture of a forward driven society that sees upward mobility as a goal. American culture is also a very giving and caring culture. Just look at how fast America responds to the needs of other countries when a disaster strikes. No other country can compare. American culture is also a mixture of many relgious points of view that are tolerated by most. I have to make an exception here to the conservative relgious right. American culture includes a cusine and a diet that comes from around the world and modified to fit American taste. The culture also accepts styles from around the world and modified to fit American lifestyle. Creativity and hard work is a hallmark of American culture. That's the major reason the US is an economic powerhouse. That's what I believe American culture is.

Interesting question. American culture is an amalgamation of various cultures from all over the world. It's a fairly young country, almost exclusively populated by immigrants and the offspring of immigrants. All of those cultures contribute to a very unique mix of cultural patterns, and Americans in general take great pride in the fact that these cultures all co-exist without too many problems. Essentially, all cultures are American cultures. In America, there are people from every other country in the world, living together in relative harmony.

Americans absolutely love baseball, rugby, and basket ball games. Indeed these are top national games there.
Every weekend families tend to get together for baseball matches. The men are the ones to coach the boys and girls while the mothers usually are in charge of drinks and food etc. and get involved with the dads when cheering their kids on in games. Cheer leading is a huge part of American culture not just for major league rugby games but for carnivals too etc with each representing their school or team.
Americans celebrate holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year . Thanksgiving is a special day and this is usually celebrated at home with a traditional Turkey meal most times and pumpkin pie.
When invited to their house for lunch or a barbecue it is normal to take along a special dish or dessert.
The 4th of July, Independence day- is celebrated most times outdoors- with outdoor concerts, special events for kids and firework displays.
There is a lot more but this is just a little idea.

No culture can be broken down into a definition. Its qualities can be described, but even those are fleeting. Culture is fluid, and impossible to nail down. Some of the answers here have given you the highlights of Americans' material possessions and pastimes, but this is not our culture. Read Bradd Shore's "Culture in Mnd," for more about how individuals maintain an idea of their culture, and that is what keeps it alive. There is no physical culture which can be naileed down.

american culture doesn't really exist in the terms of "true culture". what americ has is a blend of culture from many different countries, races, and ethnicities. It is truly a melting pot. the lines have been blurred beyond recognition at first glance. what is most often referred to as "pop culture" is is usually associated with america as well as the "age of fast food and animosity toward one another". america has very little to be proud of. our history is overrun with untold stories of greed, deceit, and robbery i an effort to be better than any other country. it is no surprise we lay no claim to own unique culture. what we do to help other countries is not out of kindness. our governement is not kind. we do to put on a show. we do it so they will owe us in the future. we do it as a show of power. there is always a hidden agenda with america. but yet i would not want to live anywhere else (except maybe france) because of the priveleges we enjot here.

The freedom to choose our own paths: if we are born in the inner city we do not have to stay there.
Many have come to this land with no money in their pockets and have had good lives, whereas if they had stayed in their homeland they'd have been killed or worse.
American culture is that all are equal and all are free. Constant vigilance to protect our rights, privileges, and responsibilities is also American culture.

Everything except for the Native American ideals and inventions are from the Old World. Even our "Americana" stuff is a stolen idea.
