Its all about the love of the game.I know I am not the only one that feels that way, I take baseball very seriously. If New York lost A-Rod it would probably have serious consequences to that team for years to come.Irregardless of how he has been playing lately. And I am not even a Yankees fan, but I have to say it, I think A-Rod is a significant part of the Yankee Organization. And go Red Sox of course, hey Beckettgirl!!!

Any question having to do with A-Rod and the Yanks will create some feedback from some very serious fans because of the current situation. If you asked "who thinks Soriano will be traded to the White Sox" I bet you wouldn't have had quite the reaction.

What could you think approximately a enthusiast? - A enthusiast to me is somebody that cares deeply approximately canines many times. i do no longer think of it ability you would be obsessive or loopy, it merely ability (to me) which you care approximately them extra effective than any known Joe Blow walking down the line. What effect does fanaticism approximately canines have on their vendors psychological state and on their canines? What reasons it? - i'm no longer a therapist and that i don't have a level in psychology (which i'm specific maximum folk in this section additionally don't have) so i can't make an knowledgeable judgement in this difficulty. i will declare that if somebody is going over the precise and treating their canines as their toddler - then they have humanized their canines to fill a void of their very own lives. if so, those subject concerns are deeper than any human beings can and/or are keen to project in to. i think of you may make the excellence between a "enthusiast" and somebody who humanizes a canines. i've got faith there's a huge distinction. Do you experience it has reached a factor of ridiculousness and a place of no return for some? - returned, because of the fact i've got faith that the "extreme" isn't in all probability a fantatic yet extra of somebody who humanizes their canines, i can't remark. i do no longer think of somebody who's attempting to fill a void of their lives with a canines is something to scoff at however.

You're taking a chance asking a serious question here, especially if A-Ron, yankees or red sox are connected. There are many people on here who love to just rip and make fun and joke around.
But there are some good answers from the people who love baseball and the RED SOX!! (had to squeeze that in here, too!)

The number is 23. There are exactly 23 insane sports fanatics at this time (15:54 Eastern, 25 July 2006).
I work at the Insane Sports Target Observation Organization. We keep track of these things, and IS-TOO knows is always the final answer.

Well the A-Rod trade rumor you mentioned is idiotic and both the Yankees and A-Rod have made it very clear he is not moving because he does not want too and there is no market for him. Ultimately, I think people are think-skinned when it ocmes to stupid questions.

Hey, beckettgirl, there could be some good answers from YANKEES fans, too. :) Oh, and don't forget about Mets fans. They almost got him, too, and some are still a little sore.
I didn't see your question, nor did I read answers, but true Yankee fans are going to definitely have something to say IN SUPPORT of Alex. The TRUE Yanks fans are going to be a little sick of hearing all this nonsense, so I think you are mistaking frustration and a feeling of "ENOUGH ALREADY" with being "thin-skinned". I think that those who are "thin-skinned" are those who immediately jump to the conclusion that a player needs to be traded because they are in a slump, which is ridiculous. Not dealing with problems but wanting to immediately dismiss them is a sign of being "thin-skinned". EVERY player in EVERY sport goes through a rough patch in his/her career. That's life. It would be awful nice if we were all perfect, but we are indeed human beings. The GM who would trade Alex Rodriguez is one who has no business being involved in professional sports, or in anything that involves making good business decisions. It simply is a slump. He will come out of it (by the way, did you see his performance last night?).
How is it possibly a good business decision for the Yanks to trade him? Brian Cashman is not that ignorant of a man. Who are they going to trade him for? It just does not make logical sense. Can you imagine being the GM that trades him, and then he goes nuts, which he will? Again, Cash isn't that dumb. Besides, who the heck would pick up his contract? No other teams can afford it, nor do other teams put as much money back into their "product" like the Yanks do.
I think you truly are mistaking this "thin-skinned" thing. Don't assume we are thin-skinned. That opinion comes from someone who is very uninformed about baseball and the business of it, and someone who doesn't think things through before they say it. Like I said before, and as beckettgirl alluded to, this is a topic that you are going to get heated responses from, and I'm sure you know it. We here in NY are also a little tired of this nonsense, as I also mentioned before. I'm sure that those of you who think us Yankee fans are too "fanatic" and "thin-skinned" are also the same ones who thought we should have gotten rid of Jeter when he had his bad slump. (Yeah, like that'll happen!) You are also those same people who are quick to state that Jete is over-rated, but man, if D.J. was coming to your team, you KNOW you'd be thrilled, whether you want to admit it or not. (Even us "fanatical" Yankee fans would admit that although we hate seeing Ortiz come up to bat, but, if Cash went out and got him, we'd be clamoring to find Ortiz shirts, Red Sox or not!)
I'm still left wondering about the business prospects of a trade. Bad business maybe, except for the team who would be able to score Alex.
By the way, I wasn't the biggest A-Rod fan in the world, especially because I didn't like the nonsense he said about Jeter years ago; it was VERY unclassy. He still isn't my favorite Yankee, either (and no, Jeter isn't either, for all of you who think that women who like the Yankees only really like Jeter because he's "cute", and we really don't know what we're talking about..... oops, guess I'm a little thin-skinned about that, too!) I would be LYING if I didn't say that I wasn't thrilled to get him when we did though, especially out from under the Red Sox noses (sorry, guys!).
Okay, read the first question, which I do think was innocent enough on your part, and can understand why you're upset with the answers, although I really don't understand why you had to go on attack mode towards Yankee fans when those who AREN'T Yankees fans seem to be the ones who wrote the ignorant comments and got all hot and bothered. It truly would be nice to actually see some intelligent conversation on this topic rather than name-calling, mud-slinging, childish comments. Let's have comments that can be backed up by FACT, please. Not comments that are "A-Rod can't leave his lover, Jeter." Good, Lord! We're not thin-skinned! We just can't stand STUPIDITY! (Sorry, that fanaticism again. Guess I'll just have to go into my Yankee room, stare at my snow globe of The Stadium and meditate.....)
