You should ask yourself, why am I scared of intimacy. Is it because someone who I trusted broke my confidence? Am I scared of making relationship because of the bad consequences it may bring?

Than after you answer those questions, why would you like to have intimacy? What do you want to take out of those relationship/ friendship? What do want to give?

I believe as humans we were created to relate. To have a relationship with someone else either intimate or just as a friend. Nobody is an island. You need people to relate too. What you give is what you get. People will hurt you whether you like it or not, that's because we are living in a sinful imperfect world. Don't be scared of that but be prepared that what ever happens you can always know that God is there to comfort you. See those experiences as stepping blocks for a better future.
