No. I would only disown my child if it was something more serious. Like they were Murderers, rapists, paedos terrorists or the like. I'm not saying I agree with or like the fact my kid could be gay but no. I wouldn't disown them.

I would never disown a child of mine if they were gay or a transexual, I would love and support them, I want my son/daughter to be happy and if thats the path they want to take I would be there for them always.

I must say, that personally I could never disown my child as I practice unconditional love and so disowning will be impossible as well as futile I cannot change their genetic make up or take back the years invested in them.

As for being a homosexual, I will certainly not be happy, mainly because I’ll have hopes of one day having grandchildren and homosexuals aren’t exactly very pro-creative in that sense. Though I’m tolerant of homosexuals and have homosexual friends, it may be a bit too close to home but then we all have expectations of our children and will have to accept in the end that it is their lives not ours and their choice to make when it come to such things.

As for my child being transsexual I definitely will not support that and will voice my disagreement. For one I am aware of the high proportion of people with sex change who regret the decision and later on commit suicide or go through other operations to turn back and find they can’t really turn back. Depending on the age and maturity of the child I will probably sit him/her down explain the fact and make it clear that I do not support that decision. I have values that are contrary to that, and as one who believe that personal problems are better solved by accepting who you are, appreciating what you have and using it to your advantage I certainly won’t support that. But my child is my child.

no way! there is nothing wrong with being gay or being a transexual. You should be able to feel comfortable in your body and that is what transexuals are, they are just trying to be themselves. I really hate it when people slag people off like this (not saying you are) but some transexuals cannot help the way they feel. There is actuall a medical name for it, it is called GENDER IDENTITY DISORDER. These people were just born in the wrong bodies!!!!!!!!!!

i can catergorically say no i does not disown them. i'd be very much shocked and in step with probability even slightly unhappy, yet its no longer a manner of life determination its the way they are made, they'd't help being gay to any extent further than they'd help having green eyes. My cousin got here out as gay 3 years in the past, became no longer particularly a ask your self as we already knew, yet as a kin we've lovingly supported him and could proceed to realize this.

I gave birth to my sons. No matter what they wanted, I'm not about to disown them. I may not agree with the sexual preference, but I'm not the one who has to live with. I'd still be there to give comfort because this world is full of hurt.

I would sooner disown someone for attrocious spelling than for THEIR sexual traits.
If someone could disown one of their own for something they had no control over, then that person cannot be very caring or thoughtful. Though something tells me that we will shortly receive an avalanche of snide homophobic and crazed comments. Go, on, prove me wrong!

You shouldnt disown your child no matter what they do even if they are Really bad or is in jail you still shouldnt you should try to be a good mother by telling them its not really right and if they dont listen probably later on in life they;ll regret it and wished they listened to you.

Disown her for something that makes absolutely no difference? Not in a trillion years. I will love her no matter what for all eternity.
