We are having a bumper crop this year. There's one starting up now. Think I'll saddle up and go out.

I love storms. That's why I stayed at home in New Orleans for Katrina. If you really like big storms, I recommend riding out a hurricane. You'll never forget it.

They are my favorite!!It was storming when I left the house this morning, but by the time I made it to work it had stopped. I saw a huge streak of lightening as I was leaving my neighborhood. It had to be really close since I could hear the thunder almost immediately afterward. I love storms. One of the best times I can remember was being home alone while I was in college. It was February, middle of our winter, and we had extremely, unusually warm weather for that time of year. It must have been in the 60s. I can remember just having jeans and a t-shirt on. It started to storm late that evening. The house was down a hill from the road and the actual front of the house faced the woods, so there was the appearance of no other houses around. As the wind blew the trees and the rain made the noise of stadium full of cheering fans the lightening would flash, giving just a split second view of the waving trees. The lightening would flash about every three seconds, so the thunder was almost continuous and sounded like a band of nothing but drummers banging on their base and snare drums. The trees were waiving back and forth even though they had no leaves on them. It appeared as though they were dancing like natives around a tribal fire during some black magic ritual. This lasted for about an hour, but seemed as if it were much longer. I stood on the front porch in awe of the power that weather can produce. I could feel my heart pounding as the rain blew into the porch almost sideways, peppering me in the face as though I were riding in a car with my head out of the window speeding down the road during a normal shower. I grew goosebumps as the storm grew to it's peak and everything it was doing to the surroundings hit me all at once. I'll never forget that night.

I love a good thunderstorm. Unfortunately lightning likes me very, very well. I still will go out sometimes when there is one, or take a nice nap. I love to sit on the beach and watch the storms over the ocean, especially at night. Beautiful.

I love Thunder Storms... I immediately run to my window to watch them in all their majestic and magnificent glory. Every clap or "craaackkkk" excites me from head to toe, as if I were receiving a bolt of lighting thru my body. During any Thunderstorm my head moves from side to side, anticipating the next strike. The "flash" excites my brain patterns and I can imagine myself running up and down a bunch of hills chasing after the storms in complete abandon, my arms "flaying" to the sky. I had often wanted to experience a strike near to me so I could experience a storm in all it's glory. And guess what? twice I got my wish...the first when I was about 20 yrs. old. It happened one night when I was sleeping soundly and heard a "craaackkkk". I got out of my bed looking for the thunderstorm when a bolt of lightning hit the tallest tree about 30 feet from my 8th floor window splitting it in two...I saw the whole thing. The second incident was when I was about 32 yrs. old. The same scenario, got up from my sleep to watch, and after about 10 minutes "Boom" right outside my new apt. window on the 7th floor this time, another tree was split to the ground but this time I only saw the tree breaking down because I had just turned my head elsewhere at the moment of impact.

Older and wiser today I move my butt out of harms way whenever I see a lightning storm...butt... I still love the heck out of them and still get "charged up" watching them...and still hope to experience another close encounter.

I thoroughly enjoy a good thunder and lightening storm unless it is during the night and I have to work in the morning.

Yes, I LOVE a good thunderstorm! Unfortunately we aren't getting our share down here in Texas right now. Lakes are down by yards rather than feet or inches. Most communities are under stage 2 watering restrictions. Since you are having a bumper crop this year.....Do you think maybe you could shoo a few of them down this way? It would be tremendously appreciated by your Texas cousins.

I love the power of a good storm! Make me feel alive to be walking around in it, getting wet; but must draw the line at Severe Thunderstorms...Love 'em....Just can't trust the little buggers...

I love thunderstorms. Especially when the clouds are that deep color of blue that no one can duplicate....the smell of the rain, the buildup before the rain falls, the crack of the thunder, the exquisite lightning. Yep, love them.

I only get charged up when I use a golf club for a lightning rod.
