How would you nicely tell someone they cannot use my tanning bed. I seem to be developing a lot of new friends.

the neighbor saw it being delivered and the word got out. I only got it for myself.

Hmm.. well, just don't go back to your place or if they ask if they can use it just say you'd rather not.. if they ask why.. just say it's costly to keep up with the bulbs ( which it is) and it shortens the life of the bed when used too often. If your "friend" thinks your being selfish just think about how selfish they are for even asking to use your tanning bed in the first place. Those are the kinds of things people should be offered to use not ask to use. Hope that was nice enough for you!! :O)

Well, you know what happens if you turn one friend away...then that person will be upset because friend X, Y, and Z are still using the bed. So what you need to do is to tell everyone that the bed is off limits. That way you are not playing favorites and everything is fair. You can even tell them that your utility bill is going sky high and you can't afford to do it anymore (which is probably the truth anyhow).

In the future you and your new friends may all be developing a lot of skin cancer as well. Why don't you ALL stop using it, and start using spray on tan like Britney, Lindsey, et al.?Just a suggestion. I once knew a woman who had literally ruined her skin with tanning. She had fried herself, and she looked really bad. But don't just take my word for it; check with your Dr. or on the Internet.

Make up a lie I guess.

Tell them its not working or say that you have too many people asking and you are just getting annoyed.
I don't think those new friends like you for you, just for your tanning bed. But who am I to say, maybe I am wrong.

Sorry, it's overusing the tanning bed and will cause it to be damaged with too much use.

I'm sorry, I'm not going to be available on the days you want to use it.

Don't tell anyone else you have it.

Do you and your friends a favor and don't use tanning beds. It's very bad business.

Tell them you're a germ freak or that it will cost you too much in electricity to run it for everyone plus yourself. Or you just might have to charge them. Depends of why you don't want peeps using it.
