You could do BOTH names and it would be really cute. (one first name, one middle name)

I like Merecedes. Jacqueline seems too grown up and like you're talking about some high end doctor or lawyer or something, there's no personality to it. I might go the route of Merecedes Emily but that's just me.

Sorry, but I'm not a fan of naming kids after cars, fruit or clothing designers.
I'd go with Jacqueline. Jacqueline Amanda is pretty.

Jacqueline is better. Its normal. Can you imagine having a name like Mercedes at 90! At least with Jacqueline you can shorten it to a relatively normal ....Jackie! What can you shorten the other one to? Merc!!!! Put the unusal name in the middle

I know people by both of those names. I think they are both great. And no, your child will not be made fun of if you name it after a car. The only comments my friend ever got on her name was "Mercedes? Thats a cool name!" But with Jacqueline, they constantly called her "Jack-kwa-linn" instead of "Jack-a-lin". I think they are both great and congrats on the baby.

It kind of depends on your last name, but I like Mercedes best. How about Mercedes Marie? Mercedes May? Mercedes Joy?
