I've P-IV system with 2.53MH processor 512MB RAM and Intel D845-GVFN mother board on this system is Ubuntu run
fast or slow and also during installation it automatically pic the vga, sound etc.... drivers or i'll manually install it.

Ubuntu will run very good on you pc, it will install all the necesary drivers for you configuration so don't worry about anything. i installed it but i didn't had time to check it out very much, but the ideea is that it will run on your pc don't worry you can install it with confidence.

Its kind of hard to understand the question, but I'll give it a go.
I would manually install the latest drivers for your Video, Sound and BIOS. This has a great chance of solving any problems that you run into. If your having trouble running software, then I would check and see what software is starting on logon. You have a decent system so you should be able to run most applications with no problem. The only problem may lie in outdated/incompatible drivers or too many programs launching at startup.

It should run as fast as any other OS. It will probably recognize your hardware and install the driver, but to be on the safe side, download any Linux drivers you think you might need (at the very least download any network drivers), and make sure you know exactly what hardware is installed.

ok that is not a ? but you need to upgrade to a 800mb ram it is better if you get a compac pc they work a lot better they got a new p-v coming out get that.
