I have been bereved for three months now, and I started to communicate with someone through yahoo personals, within about three weeks. We have both lost long time partners, me very recently, and them about three and a half years before.
Initially we exchanged emails via yahoo personals, and eventually met for lunch. We were both like sixteen year olds on their first date, very nervous.
Any way I think we helped each other a great deal, and we have both come to terms with our berevements although there is still pain there.
Since we first met we have spent a lot of time together, and now both feel we want the relationship to develope further. We have been physically separated by my work location for the last couple of weeks and will be for a few more months. So far the relasionship is getting stronger if anything, and we communicate practically daily in one form or another. We are both a bit frightened about how to take the next step and fear that our relationship would fail, and spoil what has become a firmk frienship.
From my experience I can only say that there isn't really any sort of fixed time to wait before strting a new relationship, but just take it slowly and let it develope, but always be honest and sincere in your new relationship, for both your sakes. I no of a couple who met while watching their partners die in hospital with cancer, and the sharing of the grief and awful experience drew them together and they are now in a very strong and caring relationship.

When your heart has healed, you will know, but don't go looking for someone either because your lonely or rebounding from the grief. Make absolutely sure your ready,it wouldn't be fair to either you or the person you hook up with if your not 100% sure your over your grief.
