Im away to athens with some friends, not for a party holiday, just want to know which of the islands has most bars etc.

Kimon,Aegina does have night life.At least it did when I was young 15 years ago!!!!

Nothing beats nightlife in Athens. Now the nearby islands:
Salamina: A shithole from hell .... 'nuph said.
Aegina: Great if you like ancient temples, Byzantine churches, modern Churches and pistachios. Zero night life.
Hydra: Lot of rich and famous people there. Not crowded but lively. I like it.
Spetches: I have been there for just a couple of hours. I got the impression that there is more than meets the eye there....
Poros : Stayed there for one month.... Into barracks and never allowed out. It's pathetic.
If I had to choose I'd go to Spetches. Otherwise stay in Athens (In August Athens is great) or go to Crete, Santorini, Myconos or Ios.

Hello dear!
If you want great variety, then Athens is the answer!
If you are content with some nice places with cool breeze, then all islands have something to offer! After all, most people in Athens, are going to the seacoast for night bars!

Everywhere in Greece there is a good nightlife. Now, near Athens there are some little islands : Spetses, Hydra, Egina, Salamina, very nice places.
