If so, what happened?

Today on my way to work on the freeway I changed lanes (using my blinker) in front of another driver. I did not cut him off. He then turned on his brights to signal me. I smiled and continued driving. He changed lanes and drove beside me and lifted his hand as like '****' and then drove it front of me and cut me off on purpose without using his blinkers. I then decided to change lanes (blinkers) so I could not be able to be hurt by this persons raod-rage actions. As I started to change lanes he decided to cut me off again and ride the center line so I was unable to be in any lane. I honked my horn for about a good long minute (which I hardly use). I let him pass and I slowed down. Later I caught up to him and he hurried to change lanes. I passed him and left him in my dust. It really upset me though.

I am very sorry to hear about your experience.

I do not drive regularly right now (i am "between vehicles".....but i found that over the years i enjoyed driving less and less, and that my fuse became shorter and shorter. Not only that, but other people i know who have been driving for a long time have told me similar stories.

Are we becoming crankier as a people? Are we devolving into something more primitive? Are we less human than we were a decade or two ago?

(I realize that we aren't from the same countries.....but for the most part Canada and the U.S. are pretty similar.....and i suspect things aren't too different down there.)

(Except that up here virtually none of the drivers are *armed*.....)

I was being tailgated by a minivan forever, I was going the sl, but I slowed down a little to give a hint that they could pass me, which they didn't. Finally I gave them the finger in my rearview mirror, but they just gave me a big silly wave. Had to laugh at that : ) Hope they didn't know me, this town is not that big. . .

Yelling and cursing ppl out through the open window of my car is an everyday occurance. But I don't consider it road rage even tho others do..... I just can't stand ignorant drivers. (or just ignorant people in general for that matter)

I experience road rage on a regular basis- not always by me but in general. I do not feel I have a problem with it, but some people need to obey laws more and pay more attention to their driving not their cell, passengers, book or newspaper...

Yeah, and it sucked......i was driving in to work this morning, and had to take a detour across a country road.....My Tahoe was spotless until then,....i had to follow an Amish buggy, which in return, spread horse s h i t on the road for miles, in which i had to drive thru!!!! Ever heard of an Amish drive by shooting? It goes something like this....... clippety clop, clippety clop.....Bang!
