I agree with basically everyone: peer pressure. So many people today are losing their virginity at a very young age, just because a friend of theirs did. So now everyone feels like they have to fit in and be cool, so they have to go and get laid. I was brought up in such a way that I have the moral standard set for myself: don't have sex until you're married. I think that is a very easy thing to do, and an honorable way to be. I wish more people would want to live like this, especially with all the various STDs running rampant now...I hope I'll be able to find a normal guy one day who is also a virgin, but I think that will be a hard task to accomplish, due to peer pressure. It's a sad fact, but it's so true. A great amount of my friends, YOUNGER and the same age as myself, have already performed some sort of sexual task. I find this to be QUITE disturbing.

because they enjoy having sex, or
the ones still virgins, they don't really want to be virgins any more, but for some reason they think they should.
For those 2 categories, being a virgin seems hard, but for the rest it is no big deal.

It's not so hard being a virgin. I was a virgin until i was 18 and trust me. i don't go around sleepin wit the whole wide world, who knows what they got. I think whatever you establish for yourself..virgin or not.. it is who you are and when your ready, you'll be ready.

It is as hard or easy you want it to be, we're supposed to be in open-minded societies, and thats what we should care less.
There are more important things in life than just be worried about if our couple has done it with anyone else, or not...
