They're both practically the same game, just different packaging. Just get whichever one you like better, red or blue.

The ruby doesn't hurt my but as much when I use it to wipe myself. But that don't mean I discriminate, I wipe my butt with all kinds of Pokemon.

it really dosen't matter because you can trade to get every pokemon. Besides that, the only difference is that team aqua and team magma switch as good and bad.
