It depends upon the format. Check out your DVD player to figure out what formats it can play. Ask the seller what formats they have. Current day DVD players sold in the US usually play Dolby Digital and Pro Logic II, and some also play DTS formats.

Hope that helps.

There are 7 Region codes worldwide. US & Canada
is Region 1. If you buy a DVD player in these 2
countries, then all you can play are R1 movies.
Movies from the other regions cannot be played, except
for R0, which is all code and can be played on any
DVD player. The back of the case will tell you what
region it is.
However, if you purchase a multizone, or region free
DVD player, you can then play DVDs from all the other
regions. The best & most cost effective place to buy
such players are on eBay. They will be imported from
overseas by the sellers on eBay.

You can probably get a region free dvd player that allows you to play dvd's from other places.Since Steve Irwin was an international celebrity the Australian Zoo may have the DVD available for your region. There are hack codes available if you look for them. These are codes that let you play any dvd on your player. What brand do you have? Each brand has it's own code.

depends on the dvd player, some dvd players have a "region free" feature. If not, then you'll need a Region 1 code or a Region 0 which means that it is probably a burnt copy that can play on any dvd player

It should have a region code on the back. Do some research to see if it would be compatible with your player. Most of the ones over here in the States are region 1 players, and will only work with those discs that are explicitly stated as region1.

if it is region code 1 dvd i believe

unless your dvd player plays different regions

(look at the back of the dvd case....around the lower right....a whole bunch of symbols ...you will see a pic of earth with "NTSC" and a number in the picture of the earth. USA is in region 1, we mostly have dvd players that play region 1 discs.)

yes it will if the ntsb code is 1 or if it says universal. you can check on the disc or the back of the case look for a little globe icon with a number inside to be sure.
