Yes and no. I married my first love and the problem is he never got over his first love. Maybe I should just move away and forget him? We met when we were 20 and 21. He dated her from 17-19 and he lost his virginity to her. He would compare me to her every single day and it has been a bad experience. I would say some people don't know when to let go of others. I won't make his mistake and I moved back in with my family. The very meaning of having a special place in ones heart means that other people are not able to have your whole heart. That being said, the first love has a part of them that for the rest of that persons' life, will always be held back from other lovers. My husband was my first love, and as I'm writing this I am totally torn apart, but sure for some people maybe. I feel very insecure and hate him at the same time for lying to me and saying he loved me. First loves have a lot of mental impact.

NOOO WAAAAY!
just imagine what life would be like if everyone still loved/got along with their first loves
it would mean that people of about 15 (or whatever the age is when u have ur 1st love) would immediately get married and love each other forever and stay together and never break up
look around u! how many such cases do ya see? i bet it's pretty close to NONE!
the 1st love will be remembered just for the mistakes and bloppers and shame that u get 4 not knowing what to do and how to act... and that's a GOOD case, when it's not totally forgotten
the 1st love is just something that gets u through to your 2nd, 3rd, and eventually one great love

Yes, oh my god I still think about him all the time!!!!!!!
We started going out when we were 13 yrs old and we were together about 1 yr and then after we broke up we would see eachother off & on. But We deverginized eachother and everything. And now that we are older (We are both 19) It still feels weird when i see him, like i get butterflies or something and i can tell he does to and we still feel that connection with eachother And plus he is SSSSSSSSSSSSoooooooooooo HOT!!!!!!!!
I think if he didn't have a girl friend and i didn't have a boyfriend we would be together. I miss his fine ***!!!!

Of course. I still talk to him from time to time. We are both married with kids and happy in our lives. But it's nice we've become good friends now. He'll always be special to me and my husband understands that. Your first love is always special and you'll never forget them.

My first love turned out to be a first dud. haha. I loved him at first but then I found out who he truly was so no he does not have a special place in my heart.

Always and forever i fell in love for my only and first time when i was 16 now at 20 i still love him and i dont hardly see him i compare ever man to him which i know isnt good but it love!!

yes, he does hold a special place in my heart and memories. of course, everyone i have ever loved i hold close to my heart and cherish what they brought to my life.

Yes.. I know now it wasn't true love but I still think about him from time to time and wonder how he is doing... it is hard to share 4 years of your life with someone and just forgot about them.
