Been there often, and I think that it's because I focus on just one quality, and disregard all others (that eventually become an issue). I'm focusing on myself more now than ever, and finding that it helps meeting new guys, long term and short.

The reason why this keeps happening is because theses individuals provide a necessary quality that you need to have fulfilled initially. However; its a fake desire. Do some soul searching to find out what makes you truly happy beyond superficial gratification. Make a list of qualities you would like to have in the special person you would like to call lover. Then search out for that. It may not come in the outer package you think; but something different that will be more meaningful and rewarding. We all want what we can't have. That's why we desire it so much. Grab hold to what's real and solid; there you'll find true love, friendship, and hope in prosperity. Some guy has been checking you out; and you keep passing by him without a glance. Good Luck!

Someone once said, "you always want what you cant have". Have no idea who said that but its true as hell. I am the poster child for wanting the wrong guys. I am tired of being let down. Like you said, hes either from the other coast, hes "trapped in his closet" or he's completely out ed gay. Never fails! All you can do is have faith. You know that thing that religions of all colors and creeds are based on. And know your not alone : )

Turn lesbian. That will solve your problem entirely.
Actually, try getting out more. My chick friends tell me that there are PRECIOUS FEW GOOD LOOKING GUYS and MOST GUYS ARE ARSEHOLES. That makes the pickings slim for the women.
On the upside, I am thinking of starting a HAREM to try to help out the cause. I am just kidding again as I am a one woman man.

I have the same problem, but backwards. I'm constantly falling for gay guys. I guess it's just a matter of playing the waiting game. Blast....

I'm neither a guy nor gay but if I were you I'd try a gay bar or something like that. I mean lots of guys who are gay and had their coming out already
