Well....I answered this question pretty quickly, then I read my answer and doubted it. This is a very good question.
I'm a very physical person...very touchy feely...so I would definately miss my hands.
On the other hand.(no pun intended)...I imagine for a person who has lost the eyesight they have had all their life, life would be extremely difficult. You would have to learn how to do the simplest things like cut your steak, and and walk up some stairs. Not to mention never driving again, never seeing a sun set over the ocean, never seeing my dog smile at me, never seeing lightening, never seeing the love in my lovers eyes, or a pink Dogwood tree in full bloom.
If a person had never had sight in their whole life, they would already be accustomed to using their hands in ways others don't. Plus they wouildn't miss what they had never seen.
I think I would have to keep my eyes.

have no hands. i cant imagine never seeing the sky or fireworks or the ocean or my friends and family's faces. i can't imagine not being able to laugh at all the funny things i see daily in life! hands obviously have their functions... and some of them eXXXtremely fun but, vision is most important to me.
