I'm asking because it's really hard to get an appointment around here and I'm going for my supposed Bartholin's cyst. Any advice?

No dont reschedule! A barth cyst doesn't have anything to do with a period. Just wear a tampon. The doc is use to seeing that all the time. The only one who would be concerned about it may be you, no one else. Go ahead, go to the appt. you don't want the cyst to flair up in the mean time.

I feel you. I, too had a cyst so I can relate, but I would definitly reschedule.. During the period, the blood that you see is actually filled with your body's own uterine tissue, and pieces of the un fertilized egg (which is not visible to the naked eye). regardless of how light it is right now, you may get an abnormal reading... Most ob/gyn's won't do tests during that time of the month, unless it is an emergency.

Yes,you should reschedule. Bleeding could be a problem when the doctor is trying to see.
