Harrison Hot Springs (hot spring resort)is about a 2 hour drive from Vancouver - very beautiful, quaint town lake right there as well as the hot springs ) Victoria has the Empress Hotel -fancy hotel about a 2 hour ferry ride away beautiful city to walk
In the city (vanc)you can bike or walk around the Stanely Park sea wall, you can walk all over Granville Island, it is a market that has vegies, and art works and many great places to eat, Queen Elizabeth Park is pretty, Grouse , Seymor or Cypress mountains have trails lots to see and do

Swimming, kayaking, cano-ing, sailing, boating, skiing, hiking, biking, walking, shopping, girl watching, boy watching (if that is your pleasure). Vancouver is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and you need at least a week to see some of it. Go to the Capilano Suspension Bridge, 300 feet over a steep gorge, go to Stanley Park, 1000 acres of old growth trees with numerous walking and biking path, go visit the aquarium, rent a bike and go aropund Stanley park., visit the nude beacht, the space exhibition, Gastown with the steam clock. Just go to any search engine and find what there is to do in Vancouver. A million thing and more. Love this city.

I like the big park in the City, forget the name, but it is nice, with a great restaurant in the middle of the park.
Whistler, the ski resort, is close to Vancouver and is fantastic, even in the summer it's great.
