Dont worry its not hard. unless your completely clueless when it comes to pcs.
okey first thing you do is tell us if its DSL or CABLE. Cable is easyest.
2. after you set it up to work correctly.
go to your manual don't use the cd.
type the IP address of the modem it will ask you for login and pass. if its your first time its normally admin no password.
3. go to wireless and setup mac address.
(to get mac address go to start run type cmd then in commmand promt type ipconfig (the physcial address it the mac address)
then go and add the mac address of the pcs you want into the router then from that point on only the pc with the mac address on the router will be able to get on it. (make sure you save and exit. your router will restart)
done. Good luck. if you get a linksys router they have a 24/7 help line totally free.

It's not terribly hard. I had a little bit of a problem, but I called up the company for the router and they were able to help me. They were very friendly, too. It's a NetGear router. I would recommend them. They also made sure that I set it up so that it was secure.

Very easy to do. Took me less than 15 minutes to get mine going. Just make sure to set it up as a secure network. Many people leave their wireless networks open...

It's easy. You just have to make sure the router you get has a key- a code that you have to put into each computer that you want to access the network. Otherwise, anyone can log on to it and steal your bandwidth.

no, it isn't. Should take no more than 10 minutes from sealed box to installed and secure. I would go with a linksys router.. easiest, and most reliable for home use.

Yes, almost impossible. Don't ask the company for technical support and DON'T follow the instructions that come with the equipment... if you do you are sure to go blind!

Nope it is REALLY simple.
I've done dozens and dozens of them... and seldom do I have a problem.
If you've not already bought one.. get a LINKSYS. I find them easy to configure through your web browser.
