I really liked Lady in the Water, I saw it this weekend. It's probably just scary enough for an 8 to 10 year old, but it's a nice story and I was entertained. There's a moral in the movie which I won't give away here because you might want to see it for yourself.
You have to go to be entertained, because it's a fairy tale, there's no reality in the movie whatesoever, but there is a message in the meaning of the film which is why I like his movies. There are a lot of likeable characters in the movie as well. I think he should have stuck to being on the other side of the camera, he likes to act in his movies which can be annoying at times, I would have preferred to see an "actor" in the part he played in the film.
I don't think the film was a waste, I would say that it's entertaining, and probably a good way to beat the heat on a hot afternoon. It's not a home run. I like his films and see them all when they come out, so if you're a fan you won't be disappointed. It's not a Sixth Sense, but it's better than Unbreakable.

A lot of poeple are saying that his movies are going down the drain but I find all of his movies very entertaining. I really liked Lady in the water and the Village. People can't expect all his movies to be the same with ghosts or aliens. His movies are good because you maybe struggling to keep up with whats going on but in the end it all comes together. Everything that happens in his movies have meaning that make sense in the end. This is why I love his movies cause they make you pay attention.

ppl expected that at the end there were going to be something really chock , something coming with great surprised in smart way , and the six sense made it ,the other ones were still weak in the term of movies i always feel that if they were only short fictions they would be more fun than movies like Mr.Shyamalan might read them first coz in movies story need to be more senses and realistic in feeling , some of the character express too much feeling sometime you could felt that they were unnatural
but for me the six sense was perfect the boy had enough reason to be that scared you could feel if it happened to you , you could be like him , beside this movie had a very good twist
I've never seen The lady in the water but it might be good
and i believe that his films are all entertaining they are not hard to understand with a bit frightening
he is still one of good director

I agree The happening fell short of each and every of the hype. and that i did not like woman contained in the Water in any respect, yet regardless of this i'm a wide fan of Shyamalan. MA: I loved signs and indicators and on account that my 6 twelve months previous loves it as a lot as I do (if no extra) I easily have wiped out the DVD. besides the undeniable fact that the sixth experience is the proper ever plot twist ending action picture next to the action picture (no longer by him) referred to as The Others (directed by Alejandro Amenábar). I loved Unbreakable besides the undeniable fact that it replaced right into somewhat aggravating for me. I loved The Village better than maximum did yet i'm somewhat bias because i assumed Ron Howard's daughter replaced into staggering in it, she made the action picture, she replaced into in woman contained in the Water and that i had severe hopes yet even her visual charm did not help... i'd have said The very last Airbender yet I overlook so as that announces all of it. I neglected something else of his video clips to this point. BA: ok thanks. BA2: I fee M.N.S, popular in accordance at the same time with his video clips I easily have seen 8.5 out of 10. James Cameron is his rival for me...thanks.

I think Mr. Shyamalan is just concentrating on his own artistic outlet and not too concerned about what the public may want, like the true artist he is. He loves his work more than money. I have the utmost respect for him.

I think that when you are an artist and you have something that the public falls in love with, like"The Sixth Sense",it's hard to beat.It was so damn clever that people think all of his movies should deliver in the same way.Personally I really like all of his films so far except "Unbreakable".Haven't seen "Lady in the water"yet, but Iwill.

I think he tried too hard and failed.
The story was a bit overdone, and I felt like he hadn't thought everything out in regards to the plot. The cast was made up of great actors, but their characters were weak.
I would suggest, if you do want to see this, wait to rent it. Don't waste money on a movie ticket.
