I find it sad that people like you do not understand that it doesn't matter what you think WTC represents. You think that the death of 3000 Americans is OK because it satisfies YOU that YOUR idea of imperialism was blown up? Well as long as you are happy! How selfish and self centered. You are also a self loathing American. You should run for the democratic presidential nominee, You'd be a winner.

Almost any business enterprise has a negative aspect to it that seeks to exploit others; that is just the nature of business. However, for all the ills of corporate America, there is much good that comes out of it, such as technological progress, providing jobs, and philanthropic global assistance by corporations.
I don't think that the destruction of the World Trade Centers can be construed in any good way. It meant the loss of jobs, wealth, and most importantly lives. To say that the fact that it fell somehow dented our globalist ambitions, and therefore outweighs the demise of 3000 people is idiotic, not to mention immoral.

You are a challenged individual who, rather than focusing on your own attributes, weaknesses and contributions to society, choose to point fingers, lay blame and defer your personal woes on 'corporate entities' and 'imperialism'.
If you lived in an imperialist society, you wouldn't be able to even express such myopic and self-centered opinions. The World Trade Center represented a marvelous feat of American design, ingenuity, industry and progress. It was home to many companies and government offices from many countries of the world (hence its name). Many people died there who hailed from different nations and cultures. Corporations suffered least. People suffered most. To not express sadness and remorse at the human and symbolic loss of the World Trade Center exposes you as a mentally incapicated individual whose moral compass is clearly shattered.
If the spread of democracy, capitalism, freedom and progressive society is deemed imperialistic, I'd be afraid to hear of your preferred method of governance and civilization.
Here's a question one may ask of you: What would your world and life be like without corporations, a strong and open economy and the freedom to express yourself through corporate portals such as this? I have an answer for that one, and I doubt you'd like it.

whats the question. and what is wrong with america's corp. entities and imperialism. take a gander over at the middle east and see what those f*cks are doing. than think if we really deserved to have this happen. i mean its america and my thoughts are that you can do whatever you want as long as i can too. the only reason people hate on us is b/c their country either is dirt poor or they suck (like france) and they are just jealous. and who are you anyways to pass judgement. if people do not like america then stay out of our country. and the expansion of one's country has been going on ever since the first 2 settlemnts cropped up. thats what is happening over in the middle east. they all think that they own the land over their so they kill eachother for it. but that doesnt mean that we should blow up the dome of the rock since the people fighting there are muslim.

Hey "the fonz":
Would you feel different about them falling if you knew that they may have been demolished by the same American corporate entities you despise ?
This is a good time to be examining the collapse of the towers, because we are finally starting to get some cold hard evidence, that show us, how those buildings came down. Here is some of the most recent irrefutable evidence available today.
1. We now have eye witness accounts, from people inside of the building, telling of explosions taking place, on different floors, including lower floors, just before the buildings went down. Many of the witnesses, were silenced when the buildings collapsed, but their accounts live on, in just released radio recordings. (I'll try to find them on the Internet for you. I heard the firemens radio conversations, not to long ago.) They went something like this, "What's going on! I'm on the 22nd floor, and I just heard an explosion." "I'm on 72, and I heard one too."
2. Photographs of the buildings, just before it went down, show molten metal flowing out, from the building. Structural steel requires temperatures, well beyond burning jet fuel, to melt. Further, the color of the glowing molten metal, is also representative of high temperatures, beyond that of burning jet fuel. See source below, for detailed information, regarding structural steel melting points etc.
3. A chemical analysis of the molten metal, found at the site, shows traces of a chemical called, "Thermate". Thermate charges are used by professional demolition crews, to cut through steel beams, to demolish buildings. Incidentally, the samples were recovered by a member, of the clean up crew, who kept it as a souvenir memento. Most of the scrap metal, including the pools of molten steel, were recovered by a demolition crew, and discarded. There are though photos, at ground zero, showing beams that have been shearded at a right angle: Slag is shown dripping from the process. Click on photo, in website below; for a close up examination.

4. Thermate traces have also been found, inside the bodies, of those exposed to the gases from the molten debris; people such as firemen and clean up crew members.
I found the following video clips, while conducting research. They do have a bias slant, but they are also very intriguing. Once you see them, you'll never be able to see the 9-ll tragedy the same again: I know I won't.

The building themselves represent freedom and on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001 cowards used our airplanes filled with tons of jet fuel and hundreds of innocent people (including a four year old little girl on her very first trip to Disneyland) as bombs and flew them into the WORLD trade center killing thousands more. These were people from all the world as well as Americans. And I think we all need to remember that on that day freedom was brought down to kill all types of innocent people.

I think what those people are trying to convey is that seeing bare sky where there once stood towers is a constant reminder of the lives that were lost, it's sad.

Sorry please report to Economics 101, Pysch 101, and Athropolgy 101.
Those towers falling had nothing to do with capitalism, corporations or free economies.
It had everything to do with attacking a soveriegn nation and crippling a city using our own infrastructure.
It also had alot to do with a single man-- that does not respect our culture or the people of this nation. That single man woke up one day and said-- "GEE, It might be fun to terrorize American civilians today."
That man's name is Osama Bi Laden. He chose to hurt people-- intead of talk about his point of view. He chose to knock down buildings instead of opening line of international communication.
He was angry and felt helpless. So his natural inclination was to hurt Americans.
So nice that you favor this type of negoiations and world cooperation.
God forbid we anger you - you seem to advocate knocking down buildings.
