How do I deal with male ego in relationship?

I am a professional woman. Have office with several employees. My husband works from home. His company has not been doing well, and he has been lashing out at me. I feel it has to do with his ego. What do I do? I care about him, but am really tired of him complaining about everything, ie what I wear, how I walk, how I dress, my hours at the office, etc.

UGH. That answer above is totally putting the blame on you! What does his failing business (or YOUR success) have to do with the way you dress?! You need to stand up for yourself!!!

Sometimes pointing out to someone WHY they may be doing the things they do can be a wakeup call to them. Why not say something like, 'The way I dress/walk/etc. is NOT the thing that is making you unhappy! Stop blaming me for your problems and dig a little deeper to find the source of your agression and unhappiness!'

People (especially men) will push their frustrations outward onto others. Women have a tendency to look inward and blame themselves for their frustrations. BOTH are unhealthy ways to live!! Time to set him straight by confronting him about the source of his attitude. Maybe he'll wake up to what he's doing. If he's smart, he'll do a little self-realization and realize he needs to change HIS behavior, not try to make YOU change yours.

Sounds like you are blaming him for his companies problems and gloating about your job. Maybe you need to be supportive and not down on him all the time! Sounds like you think he should be making more money than you and he should be more successful? Maybe you need to grow up and become a really adult? A relationship and a marriage are about mutual respect and support. Doesn't sound like you are giving him any of those.
