I am 14. I need some help with my period. I am having severe pains in "the area" and they hurt really bad. When they hurt really bad it tends to bleed worse than reguraly. My area is also red.

What is going on with me? I started a year ago!

Also, I have noticed swealing in the area, my breasts are also very very red around the nipple, and it's not the nipple people!

You might need to see a doctor about this. If your area is thin than a knot and then thin, that's bad. YOu might have a blood clot in the vagina.

About your boobs you might need to see a doctor about that. If they ever get to the point where they are orange looking and peely, that's cancer (a very odd cancer) and you need to rush to the hospital quickly.

For the hurting put on a bathing suit or just sit on the edge of the tub and put a warm wash cloth on the area. About the bleeding- use very think pads and dont use tampons for that much blood.

This might just be a stage in your cycle where your body is adjusting to the cycle. This could be a diease though so you might need to check it out.

If your breasts are hurting, that's just a stage in puberty, but if they are enlarged and red see a doctor.

Be sure to tell your mom about all this, you might need to go get your womenly check up.

You can put a heating pad on your stomach to ease some of the cramping pain. There is also a cream you can apply that may help with pain in the lower area (Vagisil). You can take tylenol or asprin for pain as well. When the pain gets too bad, take a bath. The heat is what will sooth the pain.

Contact me with any ?'s you have. I'd be happy to help. By the way, those are called cramps.

Would you all quit scaring her? No, you don't need to go to the ER..oh my gosh people are ignorant. You're just having cramps and that swelling is called bloating. Take some pamprin. It'll get rid of all those problems.

The skinny thing you're talking about is nothing to worry about. It's blood, just not in liquid form. No need to worry.

Take some ibprofen or midol. You are probably just having cramps. I had horrible cramps that started when I was about your age. It can be a very confusing and hard time. But if you are really concerned maybe you should go see a doctor so he can give you medication.

Take some Advil and leave the area alone, sounds like you have irritated your skin. If it doesn't clear up soon, see a doctor.

It could be one of several things but one thing is clear its abnormal. Go see a doctor. Go to the ER if you can't see your regular doctor this week. It could just be a heavier flow but the reddeness sounds like an infection. This is something to take serious. Go see your doctor.

Take ibuprofen for the pain and swelling. It will really help. Start with two, and then see if you need more. I recommend the liquid gels, they work a lot faster.
