Panasonic 103-inch plasma for stand-alone TV, but bigger is not always better. Consider this:

" second consideration is viewing distance. A viewer should sit no closer than 11/2 times the diagonal of a 1080p high-definition TV, the highest resolution TV available, according to the makers of high-definition sets. (The rule of thumb is 21/2 times for TVs with lower resolution.) In the case of a 60inch TV, that is about eight feet from the screen; otherwise you will start seeing the pixels in the picture.

Almost all new homes and most older homes have 12 feet of viewing distance for such a TV in a master bedroom or a family room. It starts getting hard to find that much room in many apartments.

Move up to a 103-incher and look what happens. You need a wall at least 90 inches wide -- 7 feet 6 inches. The TV has to be at least 13 feet away from the viewers. Some experts claim that the optimum viewing distance is about twice that. Now where does it go?"

Get a dlp or lcd projector. They are great! You have to have a wall to shoot it on, that is white, or off -white. Even better if you hang a screen.

You can get an image larger than any tv made w/ a projector.
