Neutral Particle Transport Through A Binary Stochastic Mixture

In this research we are developing algorithms for more efficient Monte-Carlo methods for transport of radiation in stochastic medium. The research is concentrated on solving the transport of neutral particles in a binary stochastic media. The transport calculations are done in 2-D and will be extended to 3-D. Solution of such transport problems for large systems consumes large amounts of computer time. Initial results show that in some conditions the simulated stochastic media can be constructed as the particles move through the media. This greatly simplifies and improves the speed of the calculations.
