I thought he was fantastic in both roles. He brings such a careful but intense performance to the screen, apparently especially as a villan. My personal favorite was Davy Jones.

Underworld. Only because I could see his face and his reactions. He was also in Love Actually and was hilarious.

You could see him better as Victor, but he has a great voice, very expressive, so both were good.
As Davy Jones, he was overshadowed by the Kraken, though.

I liked him in Underworld. He was also really funny as a has-been rockstar in Love Actually with Hugh Grant.
