my virtual memory is 2 G, 1.96 available

Cookies deleted, temp files gone, disk cleaned up

I tried all of your suggestions. Each did something, and I thought it would help. Upon returning to Yahoo email I am still slow or frozen.

Any other help?

Yahoo has been acting up lately and about 1/4 of the users have been having trouble. But that may not be your only problem.

You probably need to clean out your computer. Old temporary files and too many cookies can slow your Internet performance.

To get rid of files that your computer doesn't need safely: Go to the desktop and double click on My Computer, then select the C: drive. Right click on the drive letter, on the drop down menu select properties. A menu will appear with a pie chart showing how much hard drive space you are using. On the lower right side there is a button labeled "Disk Cleanup" click on that button and follow the wizard. This procedure will NOT touch your My Documents or your My Programs folders. It cleans out the temp files and other trash that Windows collects. If the computer needs those files then they will not be touched. Windows likes to save parts of the websites you visit so when you return to that site it can load it faster. After a while this gets to be too much and it can slow your computer down. Windows also likes to use temporary files when updating or installing programs on your computer. Often these files are left on the machine and need to be deleted every now and then.

To clean out your cookies folder: Go to Internet Explorer, and on the Menu at the top of the screen select the Tools menu. Then select the Delete Cookies button, in the middle of the screen on the right side. Cookies are small text files that other web sites put on your computer. Some track if you have been to that web site. Others keep track if you selected the Remember My Password or User Name options, they also track which files on a site you might have downloaded. As long as you remember your Passwords and User Name then you will not lose anything by clearing out your cookies. The website will remember your login data, but you will have to enter it manually; not a big deal. You can select the remember me options and a new cookie from that website will be deposited on your computer.

How often you clean out your computer with Disk Cleanup and Delete Cookies depends on how often you surf the web, and if you go to a lot of websites. I suggest that the average user should do it once every 2-3 months.

No, except each and every person on my mailing record is getting an commercial for male enhancement. All of my contacts are transforming into it, and it says it truly is from me, however it isn't. assume someone has gotten my e mail handle. each and every of the human beings I write are women. My niece requested me about it. i'm no longer sending any out, and bumped off each and every of the cookies from my pc. do no longer comprehend how that is going. I were given some mail in my field for yet another man or woman which I lower back to them. I honestly have not downloaded the hot one.
