Lady in the Water is an excellent movie. I read some of the reviews and some of the critics were so far off base about what the movie is about.
Yes, parts are very scary. But they're an integral part of the movie.
If you like Signs...you will like this movie.

well all those movies are scary but I didn't find Lady in the Water scary at all. I don't think you'll have a problem. On A scary scale from 1 to 10, I'd give it a 1. I thought it was great. But then again I'm one of those people who love M. Night Shyamalan movies. You'll have to decide for yourself whether you like it or not.

I haven't seen Lady in the Water, but I heard that it is a lot less scary than Signs, The Village, The Sixth Sense, and most of his other movies.

If monsters scare you then you'll probably be afraid. There are a few scenes where they jump out of nowhere and it kind of freaks you out.

Other than that, the story is beautiful and it's a really great movie. It makes you think.

Compared to all the movies you listed though, this one isn't scary at all.

If you are looking for a scary movie "Lady in the Water" is not for you. If you love fantasy and humorous characters, you'll love it! I am a big Shyamalan fan anyway and I find his movies intriguing. Shyamalan is in the movie quite a bit as an actor. He really isn't the best actor--but he's hot, so you don't mind seeing his face show up.

It has its scary parts but I didn't think it was a very good movie. Since it is a fairy tale they just make stuff up and don't explain it but they use suspense nicely so you will probably be scared.

This incorporates NO SPOILERS .... I observed it at present. sure, I cherished it. For a huge summer time action picture, it became good quirky in spots and continually exciting. M. evening Shyamalan a technique or the different gets away with putting exciting, oddball ideas in movies calculated to delight huge audiences. some will hate it basically like they did "The Village." yet some 0.33 of them would be human beings too lazy to be conscious of the plot or too challenged by capacity of it. i'm going to admit it became a liitle bit geeky for my style. it extremely is obligatory to maintain track of roughly 4 or 5 words supplied by capacity of its mytholgy. or you will possibly be able to desire to get perplexed. yet people who outright whine "It made no sense!" weren't paying interest. the texture of the action picture jogged my memory of Spielberg ... a mix of scares and charater based laughs. additionally, Paul Giamatti extremely jogged my memory of Richard Dreyfus in close Encounters of the 0.33 form. i think of that would have been intentional. on the topic of twists, undergo in ideas that no longer all of Shyamalan's movies have one. perhaps this one does. perhaps it does not. you will might desire to make certain. yet accomplish that immediately. Very quickly, considered one of your fool co-workers will say, "I observed woman interior the Water". It became gay. It seems all an prolonged, that the dude became basically having his ideas examined as component of an alien test and it became all a dream." (No, it extremely isn't the top yet you get the belief.)
