Personally, I can't be bothered reading through pages of answers in order to make sure that I'm not repeating what someone else has already said, so generally, if a question has more than 20 answers, I don't even open it.

How about you? Do you care how many answers there are?
Do you have a cut off number?
Why/Why not?

nope thats just wasting my time i prefer questions with as little answers as possible because usually when there are like 50answers the asker usually just picks the first correct answer cus there are too many answers to read

I'll answer a question if it's something that I have an opinion on. It doesn't really matter if someone else has said the same thing or not. I'm just giving my opinion to help answer a question. If their question is that popular, then good for them. Maybe it's a question worth that many answers. If I repeat someone else's answer, then I just say great minds think alike. No biggie. If I don't feel like reading the other answers, I won't. But if I'm really interested, then I will. But that's just me.

the number of answers there doesn't bother me. i really don't care if i repeat an answer someone already said by accident. the only bad thing about answering questions with a lot of answers is that if you are at the end, you probably won't win best answer because noone reads down that far.

If a question has more than 20 answers I won't bother opening it because I know that someone has either saidwhat I wanted to say or that their answers are better than mine already. So generally, my cutoff number is like 15

Well i do it, all depends on the question, i may not read the other answers , i just say my opinion.
Usually questions with more than 20 answers are factual questions, sometimes you only need to say a number , a color , yes or no...
Anyways i will get my 2 points :)

I have and I will. I'll read the answers first of course. If it's an opinion question it really doesn't matter if the same answer is there because it's just an opinion. If it's a question looking for a specific answer, I might think of additional information that no one else has mentioned and I'll reference previous answers before I expand upon it.

I usually don't read other people's answers before I submit my own. It saves time and by answering, I get 2 points!

no way!!!! i like to be on the first page, because, honestly, me as a reader would not read every single persons answer....
i definately agree w/ you, sometimes when i see people with 98 answers i cant believe people even bother to put their input, its kinda useless!!
