I have owned her for almost 3 years. I don't wash her that much. I rinse her off after hard rides. I gave her a good bath as soon as I got back from vacation about a week ago and ever since she has had a bad fly problem. I used Mane and Tail and I don't think that is what is giving her the problems?? Can I buy endure at petsmart??

I swear by endure. It is the only fly spray i've ever seen work and last more then 10 minutes. A nice thing about it is that it is sweat resistant so you dont need to worry about it if you ride hard. The cost is rather high though compared to other sprays. Where I live it costs about $18 a bottle. Try it though it works wonders!!

Hi, if you are worming your horse regularly, she shouldn't get bots. There is something in the wormer to prevent bots. As for fly sprays, it really doesn't matter what type you use, but where you use it. Try spraying her tail (natures fly swatter) with your fly spray. It works best because when she swats the flies with her tail, she will be spreading the fly spray at the same time. If they are bothering her while you are riding, try putting on one of those fly masks that look like fake bangs. They work really well. Also, try putting vaseline on her teats and in her ears. The insects don't like it because they get stuck in the goop. Good luck!

I prefer the Absorbine black bottle.
Alternately, try the feed fly control pellet.

Tri-Tec
or Endure
Both are expensive but I have had great luck with both types.
