I have this nice black silky drop waist dress from the 1920's, do you think it would be strange to wear it out with some more contemporary items to balance it out?

Do it :), as long as you don't wear everything from the 1920's, which could could look kind of costumey.

Absolutely not. If you feel uncomfortable, you could wear it over skinny jeans and boots for a more modern look, or as a dress with a cropped denim jacket over it. Depending on the length, you may want to try it with a pair of brightly-colored leggings and flats.

No it would not look strange...all the of Hollywoods stars usually wear vintage dresses to most events. In plus vintage is awsome so you will look great in this dress.

It wouldn't be weird for me to see it, but I won't lie, some people may think it's weird.

But the dress sounds nice, wear it and express yourself!

Who cares what other people think, and don't wear it with contemporary items if you wear it.
