BY far a dog. They greet you when you come home. They are true friends and will always be loyal.Their tail is always waging when you give them attention or playing with them. They can be smart to a certain degree but are limited. In many ways they are much better than their human counterparts. They are loving, the smaller the dog the move time is needed for them. They love to be held and will wait all day for you in a window or another special place for you.Small dogs require a lot more time and that's one reason older people love them so, because they are like children always in need.GOD BLESS THE ANIMALS.

Hamsters. They are small, fairly easy to care for, soft, adorable, fairly inexpensive compared to other animals, gentle when treated well, and, though they llive only two years (average), you can get two and two cages and breed them to keep the family going! They are wonderful little creatures. I've had over 100 in my lifetime and I'm less than 30. Currently, I have one-- Amber-- and she's just in her excitable younger months but I'm looking forward to watching her mature and become more gentle and calm. Some hamsters love their wheels, like Amber, and spend long hours each evening running away. She's fascinating to watch and her antics never get old. Watching her is like watching a tank full of fish swim, but her messes are easier to clean. Hamsters are wonderful and you might even check pet stores to see if they'd give you cash or trade for the babies if you decide to breed them. That way, you could pay for food for them. They also like dry people foods, like cereal, and some others, like fruit. Avoid beans and chocolate-- they can make hamsters sick. Also avoid oats, which make their pee smell FOUL! Too much sugar makes them hyper for a few hours, so especially avoid icing (my mom once gave some hamster babies a cup that had some icing in it, from some cinnamon rolls we made, and talk about bouncing off the walls!!! Furry little high bounce balls!!! Ha ha. Anyway, now you know a little about hamsters and enjoy whatever animal you choose!

um if you mean out of all animals, i like tigers and giraffes...

if you mean out of "pet" animals, I enjoy fish, hedgehogs, dogs

If you are looking for a pet I'd do some MAJOR research first to find one that will fit your lifestyle (i.e. if you want a pet to be awake during the day don't get a nocturnal animal). You sound young...had a pet before? Fish are fairly easy if you keep the tank really clean. rodents aren't too bad either (gerbils, rats, hamster). If you are looking at snakes be sure you know what you're getting yourself into. And I wouldn't recommend a bird for a first timer....especially a macaw...macaw's are lifelong pets and you truly have to be prepared.

Don't get what others like, get what you like and could care for properly.

I like many different types of animals, but I must admit, my favorite is the American short-hair cat. They, for me,are unequal as a pet that can live in the house as well as play with the children. And their saliva is not known to cause humans any problems.

Cats are definitely mt favorite. They're self reliant, sweet, cuddly, affectionate, don't need as much attention as dogs, they are less high maintanence (because you don't have to take them outside, you can leave them alone without them wimpering), they don't make as big of a mess (knocking things over and eating everything in sight like dogs do), they don't jump all over you and lick you, etc.

easiest animal to take care of is the goldfish. I have several, very little involved. if you want affectionate but lots of work, then a dog, preferably a smart one that plays ball with you. cats are easier to take care of and can be quite affectionate & fun to play with, but sometimes act strangely and aloof. African clawed frogs are easy to take of, maybe you should try one of those. they live a long time too.

Wow, I like all kinds of animals. You have to buy one that suits your personality. one that you won't mind cleaning after or making sure each day they have water and food. Check around and see which you connect with the most. It's love at first sight!

I would get a cat. Nothing gives loving indifference like a cat. It really is the best of both worlds. Independence is a blessing in any pet, and cats are loaded with it.

Rats make great pets. NO, they really do. They are clean and friendly and intelligent and best of all they are cheap. And if you dont like them they die after a couple of years anyway so there's not a long term commitment to worry about.
