Retaking classes may not be the answer because LSAC may calculate everything together and if you have a lot of graded hours, it won't change your GPA much. One thing you can do is go to a lower ranked school, excel during the first year, then transfer for your second and third years. That may be beneficial because you may qualify for a scholarship at another school other than the higher ranked ones.

The conversion of your LSAT score on a global scale would equate out to a 3.25. Impressive for an average student. The conversion is as follows:

180 = 4.00
179 = 3.95
178 = 3.90
170 = 3.50
165 = 3.25
160 = 3.00
150 = 2.50
140 = 2.00
130 = 1.50
120 = 1.00

Law Schools are tiered by which candidates should select a school within their leveraged GPA range. Note: The GPA that you earn in college will be reformulated by the council. This is why you must forward a complete set of your transcripts back to LSAC and in turn they will post your new GPA which will become part of your LSAC profile. Unless you have a hang-up as to the name on your law degree, seek admissions that will permit your ability to succeed within law school.

i would take a couple of the lowest scoring classes and also try to do as much extracuricular activities as you can. see if you can get a internship at a law office and get as many recomendation letters from some of the teachers or employees that you have had a good rep with.

Retake a couple of classes.

Score out of this world on the LSAT.

Volunteer with CASA- or other legal aid\ humanity causes and get a great record of achievement-- then you are a better candidate
