I am planning a family trip 36,35,& 8 yrs. from Philly to Colorado (fly) then a road trip from Colorado to the Grand Canyon then on to Vegas. I'm looking for suggestions for places to stay, things to see and do in each area and along the road. Any suggestions would be appreciated! We are looking to head out at the end of June 2007.

Brice Canyon. God, that's beautiful in Utah. Mesa Verde is also very nice, and the sand dunes are fun too.

While in the colorado springs area u must see "The Garden of the Gods", "Cave of the Winds", take the cog up to the top of Pikes Peak, visit Manitou Springs at the foot of Pikes Peak and if you like the good ol' west type of thing go to the "Flying W Ranch", try Cripple Creek an old gold mining town that has gone back to the gambling days again, and could go on and on beautiful place .

You have to see Zion National Park and find the part of the park called 'The Narrows'. It is an amazing site and doesn't take more than 2 hours, but is well worth it. That's the most memorable part of my Colorado to Vegas trip.
