I am a true beliver that clearing acne does not have to be expensive. Well, I don't have bad acne... but anyhoo.

Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash is great because it's non abraisive and keeps your skin fresh and acne free. Plus, it's only $5! I've tried every other thing in this world, from cheaper to pricey and none works as well as Neutrogena.

Also, during the summer if you break out on your back or body, you can use it as a body wash and it keeps your skin clear as well.

Good luck!

Well, you could use other products to get rid of the bacteria, its just that Acne Cleansers are specifically formulated for acne-prone skin... Really, all your looking for in a product is Salicyclic acid in whatever cleanser you choose. Make sure it has atleast 2% of this in it. I recommened; Clean & Clear Deep Action Cream Cleanser, it gives you a tingly feeling, so you know when your face is really clean, or you could try Clearasil, i started washing my face with that recently, well, a mix of the two, and ym face has gotten really better. I would recommend you stick to the cleansers for acne prone skin because you never know what might happen with the other cleaners, they may even cause you to break out. Well i hope i've been helpful! Oh, and on;t get Proactive, i tried it and it didnt really help me, it cleared it up nicely while i was on it, but as soon as i stopped using proactive, it came right back.. and thats sort of expensive for my taste (i spent arounf 115.00 at the store for it.) And, my dermentoloigst even told me not to use it, but it was too late, i already had. She said that there wasn't enough salicyclic acid in it and that over the counter products had more salicyclic acid in them than proactive. Well, i hope that little but was helpful to oyu, i just didn't want to see someone else waste their money on a product that you'd basiclly have to use until you grew out of acne, and lets face it, that could be a LONG time... well, i hope i have been helpful to you, and that this paragragh of an answer had answered your question.
Glad to be of service,

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

Your diet away from home could be causing the problem. You lack certain nutrients. Taking some zinc should help you. Make sure you drink a lot of water everyday. Make sure you eat lots of fruits and vegetables because this also hydrates you. A lot of times, the problem with acne is an internal problem. So using those acne washes only temporary cover up the external problem. Your body is trying to tell you something.

To get rid of the bacteria, I would suggest putting a little hand sanitizer on the blemish and not all over.

what you need is an antibacterial scrub or cleanser. usually these say "acne" on them, i have problems using a lot of soaps, but the orange colored clean & clear foaming face wash works really well for me.

Go to a doctor and ask for a prescription for tetracycline. It's pretty cheap and you take it by mouth twice a day. I have tried every other topical treatment but this stuff is tons better.

i used to have a small acne problem, i started using neutrogena blackjhead elimination scrub, then after i washed and dired my face, i put onthespot acne treatment, and in no time my face cleared right up, and i seldom get zits anymore.

One of my friends uses Proactive. She says it works pretty well. Her face is always clear of zits and pimples. As for me I use Arbon (don't know if I spelled that correctly). I use the mild cleansing lotion in the shower. Then when I've dried off I put on my mask. And last I put on my face lotion. That works pretty well too.
