Average age (see sources section below) for sitting unsupported is 5-9 months, and for crawling, 6-11 months. But some babies will be early or late. And some babies never actually crawl--they find another way to get around--possibly creeping along on their stomachs or sitting and pushing off with one foot.

about 6 months.. something easy that you can do to help with the sitting is just sit the baby down at first their face may be close to the ground but after a bit they'll get to push themselves up and keep their balance.. I had my son sitting in a week doing that.. I didnt even need to go out and by that boppy pillow thing. and my son started crawling after that.

Sitting up, they start trying around 4 to 5 months but usually acheive by 6 months. Crawling begins around 6 or 7 months but sometimes earlier or later. The sitting up you will notice your baby tightening stomach muscles and pulling his/her head up. And they will scoot around for a while before begining to crawl.

My son sat up at 5 months and crawled at 7. My daughter is starting to sit up now and she's 4 1/2 months but she doesn't roll yet.

I think the average is 6 months, but babies vary and it could be as early as 5 months or as late as 8 months.
