These steaming towers look like nuclear energy units, but I've read that Indiana does not have any nuclear reactors. They are located just behind Mount Baldy on the shores of Lake Michigan in Michigan City,Indiana.

It's a cooling tower all right, but not a nuclear one. Just a lookalike. The power plant is actually coal. It's called the NIPSCO Coal Power Plant:

"When you make this left, you should be staring right at a cooling tower for the coal energy plant (this has been mistaken for a nuclear tower by many, including me, until I learned the truth)."
