You can have bleeding while pregnant, but not a period. A period is when the egg was not fertilized and then it is disposed of. Some women report having periods when pregnant, but that's not really what it is. Anytime you are bleeding you need to talk to your OB right away. It can be from several different things, some of which are serious.

The metallic taste is probably too much iron in your system from the diet pills. They have excessive amounts of it to help make you feel full. And it's not common to still have your period and be pregnant, but it can happen. The UTI is probably related to all the iron in the diet pills also. This can also cause nausea and vomiting. My second pregnancy (also with another father) was very different from my first. I don't know that the different fathers had anything to do with that though. I think it was just the fact that my body had changed and was reacting differently. I would definitely go and get a pregnancy test so you can say for sure. Also, the first 30 days after coming off of any type of birth control is the most fertile time.

First, please stop taking diet pills! Far as the patch I know woman who got pregnant when they were on the patch! Yes, you can be pregnant even if you on your menstrual. You are having some signs of being pregnant! Go get a pregnancy test and see! The throwing up stage doesn't happen until two months into your pregnancy or earlier for some. All pregnancies are different including the situations! I was sick all the time with my last pregnancy (my baby is 10 months) rather with my first three years ago!

It is possible. You say you are taking diet pills which could give you nausea and metallic taste in your mouth and unusual periods. I don't understand why you would be on diet pills if you are trying to get pregnant. These pills can have may different side effects over time especially on a fetus and their nutritional needs. For your own peace of mind you might want to see your doctor.

Not likely but still possible.

Interesting aside here: A couple of years back I heard on the news about a woman who was pregnant with triplets--and DURING the pregnancy she conceived a fourth child! How weird is that?

First of all, you need to STOP taking the diet pills RIGHT AWAY!!! If you are trying to get pregnant you should replace the diet pills with prenatal vitamins!!! Diet pills can have a HORRIBLE effect on unborn babies!!!

NO PREGNANCY ARE THE SAME. BUT MAYBE YOU SHOULD TAKE A PREGNANCY TEST TO MAKE SURE. IF NOT MAYBE IT TOO MUCH FOR YOUR BODY AND YOU BODY IS REACTING NOW. YOU NEVER KNOW.
""""""""" QUESTION """""""""" IF YOU WENT TO THE ER THEY DID NT DO ANY BLOOD WORK ?

I WAS ON THE PILL FOR 2 YEARS AND WHEN I GOT OFF THE PILLS 2 MONTHS LATER I HAD SOME PROBLEMS THAT HAD TO DO WITH THE PILL.
