Not at all questioning the government is a very patriotic thing to do, it's using our rights-use them while you can before george cuts out congress and establishes himself as dictator for life.

I know this is the mantra of the right. Simply put, they are scared s.h.i.t.l.e.s.s. If you even question their policies, doubt will settle in, and the fearful right do not want to be in doubt. Therein lies their own stupidity. Everyone knows that Iraq is a fiasco, so why not admit it?? The people who continue denying this are just looking more and more ridiculous everyday at the expense of people's lives. The fact is, the United States is returning to its Fascist McCarthyism-style government. 9/11 struck such fear into people's hearts, that extremism and doubt (about our place in the world and ultimately our goals) have settled in. Do you ever wonder why so many people are turning to religion NOW, AFTER 9/11??? Because people fear; they are manipulated into believing that extremist behavior is patriotic. What kind of an imbecile would say, "You are with us or against us???" Haven't they ever heard of NEUTRAL??? It us just like with Religion: if you even suggest that it is a lie, people will lose their anchor, since they blindly believe in it. When that happens, chaos will follow; people will go nuts. Simply put, pro-war advocates are just scared to be wrong. And they ARE WRONG. Many people have correctly pointed out how much the country has turned towards disrespect and intolerance. These are truly signs of a Fascist State in the making.

We are in Iraq for the oil it was never about democracy and this country was founded on dissension, just look at our founding fathers, what did they do when faced with a tyrannical mother country called England. I think it was called the Revolution and it's what made us an independent nation. If the right wing media wants to paint people as traitors because we speak out against our leaders than maybe we should hit them where it hurts. Plummet their ratings so they get the message that it is American to speak out against the injustices that are taking place in the nations capital. Stop watching FOX network stop supporting their greed and infidelity get them on the right track by forcing them to open their eyes. They only know one thing and that is the almighty dollar take that away and they are powerless.

no, the people who send the military to iraq in a pre-emptive war are the traitors-to the american people-and they can't control wat u feel. y r we even in iraq. we could have pursued the fall of hussein by diplomatic means, but instead rumsfield lies to us about wmd's and we're in iraw, and there were no terrorists in iraq before hand. we just inflamed the middle east, and provoked an insurgency, and we're stuck in a war with an ill defined enemy-terrorism, and hee social security is failing, abortion is rampant, and the gulf between the rich and poor widens while corporate entities cheat their workers of good wages and protection, and we consumers get a crappy product. it was all about oil, and both democrats and republicans are really the same party, they sing the same tune with different words. oh yeah, this isn't meant to be unpatriotic, but terrorism is a lashback because the people feel oppressed. i don't support it, but if there are a lot of terrorists after saddam got overthrown, i think we need to realize that that's partly our fault and we screwed up.

Actually, I feel the complete opposite. If a person is pro-Bush, then they are beat down by opposing forces who hate George W. Bush. I guess the bottom line is that there are extremists on each side. It feels as there is no middle ground. I'd much rather have this kind of freedom protected instead of having my tongue cut out for saying something someone didn't agree with.

NO not at all . But most of you print anti -American garbage and try and blame all the worlds problems on Bush. Nowhere do you explain your honest opinion on this conflict. All that is ever seen is " Americans are murderers,Bush is Satan,911 was a government prank", give me a break not one time have I seen an honest , thoughtful presentation of why we shouldn't have unseated Saddam or gone into Afghanistan ,or why The US shouldn't back Israel. So until then all of you certainly portray yourselves as such.

Oh jeez what a bunch of cry babies. Of course your not a traitor if you don't agree with the war in Iraq or Pres. Bush. Instead of saying you disagree...try an argument that is coherent and thought out and don't let your own personal hatred for Bush and the 2000 hanging chad election get in the way. The guy who doubts the land of the free....prime example of a mindless dip. He pop off with his sarcastic land of the free nonsense...but can he name one....just one person who has been precluded by statutory (that means by law for your blue staters) means from expressing themselves. Anyone? Anyone? Laughable. And David F....gimme a break...your capitalized rant is pathetic and impotent. Smoke another joint cheech.

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.
John Stuart Mill (1806 - 1873)

No; however, you don't have to burn the flag because you disagree.
There is a fanatical fringe of leftists. If you find yourself in this crowd, then you are an unpatriotic traitor.

If you just bash Bush for Iraq without realizing that democrats were saying the same thing just 3-7 years ago, then you're just a mere lemming idiot.

I voted for Bush, and I question why we are in Iraq. Of course now, we can see that we are in a pickle. If we leave, Iraq will become a part of Iran....the whole thing was idiotic to begin with. If we were going there to steal oil, where the heck is it?
