Why is it that so many people are so quick to say I hate all Gay people and then quickly turn it around and say its because the bible says its wrong. Isn't it also wrong to hate and judge others? Just because someone likes someone else that is the same gender as them, is that a reason to hate them?

I'm gay, and I could care less if people hate me or think I'm sinful and perverted. If someone has a problem with me, then that's their problem, not mine. I frankly don't have the time or the interest in worrying about what other people think about me. I'm a ****, and I have rights, and I'm gonna milk those rights for all they're worth, regardless if all those other hypocritical, bible-thumping frumps find me offensive or not.

People are inherently afraid of the the unknown and different. Hate is so easy for some folks, especially when they were taught to hate at a young age. Like many religions, people use the Bible as a pick and choose to what they want it to say. They are ones who use the the book of Leviticus to say homosexuality is an abomination, but probably eat pork and shrimp. They probably serve milk to their children with dinner. They say they are Christians, which means they follow the direction of Jesus, who said the old laws were no longer important. He also only gave 2 laws. "Love God with all of your heart...and love your neighbor as yourself." He did not say one word about homosexuality.

I don't think I chose to be gay--at least while I was growing up I had no interest in boys, I knew when I was about 10 or 11 that I would never get married in the traditional sense--even my Mom says she noticed differences in me as a child so when I told her I was gay she already know.....so I disagree that anyone chooses to be gay or straight...it's just who we are and we should not judge someone unless we've walked in their shoes.

Because some people feel the need to tell others what to do in their life just because THEY love their lives a certain way. Just because I'm a lesbian doesn't mean all my friends have to be, and just because my friends are straight, doesn't mean I have to be. I feel that adults should be able to discuss differences of opinion without getting their panties in a wad, but most people can't. I recently pissed off a few people because we were having a conversation about religion and I shared my beliefs and because they didn't agree with what I said and because they couldn't MAKE me believe in their religion they stopped talking to me. And we're all supposed to be adults, right?

Perhaps it's a rite of passage thing - a way of re-affirming their belief system ...

" I have faced the left-handed sexual deviant and I attest that I was not swayed by the temptations that were placed before me...
Hear me O Lord my God! I denounce Satan..."

Of course, in my day Confirmation into the Catholic Church meant taking on a Saint's name and getting slapped in the face by a Bishop in his red Chasuble.

People are so quick to judge others because of different lifestyles. Theyre afraid of change.

because in their sad, tiny, hate-filled little minds, it somehow makes them feel superior.
also, I didn't "choose" my lifestyle....I was born the way I am.
