I totally agree, no offense to anyone but when you come to America you should learn english before you are given citizenship. We should not be forced to accomodate all cultures. If I was to move to another country, could I expect to see the english translation on every item in sight? But at the same time I feel that all cultures should get respect because America is the land of freedom, and if you think America is so great what is wrong with adopting our culture.

I thought it was "When in Rome, do as the Romans." I could be wrong. No, this advice makes perfect sense, especially if you are fond of your own head and don't want it chopped off. Of course, in arab countries you may still get your head handed to you just for being a Westerner.

i agree. to experience the full culture. study the basics of the language, basics of the culture.. and everything else with the country. if you show interest and respect to them.. i'm sure anyone would help you with any problems.. or questions..
..except the damn french ha.
i dont kno why one would travel outside their own country if it weren't for a cultural experience anyway
