I'm from the caribbean and I've realized that americans put a lot of emphasis on physical appearance, example weight, height and beauty.

Yeah we tend to just look at the sruface & judge. I don't but alot of people do. Real beauty comes from inside...don't fall into the trap of believing you have to be this or that to impress anyone...just be yourself & all will fall into place. good luck

i find that people that are usually beautiful and "popular" are to shallow minded to think for themselves, and they dont usually make good friends. but the band geeks and drama people, they make wonderful friends, even tho they dont have designer bags (alto i dont think anyone in highskool should....) and perfect clothes! its important to try to look your best, but not to get cocky about it and have a big ego
