I say turn the tables on him. Start acting like you want things to work out between you two and make him think you are wanting the marriage to work. This will give you time to get your ducks in a row and it may also prevent him from up and hauling butt to Jamaica. You are entitled to half of what is his because what is his is yours, too. However, if he thinks you are trying to take him to the cleaners he is gonna do everything within his power to make sure you get nothing, even if it means running to his homeland with his tale tucked. You may not be a gold digger, but you do deserve what is yours and you should do whatever it takes to get what you deserve for you and your kids. Get a great lawyer to help you out on all this because you cannot do it alone and do it without him knowing a thing. Good luck and do not let him get away with screwing you over.

You can take him to court that's for sure. Whether or not the judge would appoint you half, not sure. But did you sign a pre-nup? Do you live in the US? If you live in the US, what state do you live in and do you rent or own a home (even if it's only in his name)? If you live in the US and own a home (again, even it it's only in his name) most states in the US have what's called "Dower Interest" for the wife. Like in Michigan, if you get divorced, the wife automatically get's money upon the point of sale of the real estate because of the dower rights law, which entitles her to to automatic 3rd interest. Now this is just regarding real estate. Hope this helps a bit.

Get a good lawyer and go after it all. Not because you are a gold digger but because of the emotional abuse, to provide security for your children and to emancipate yourself from this jerk.
Now, the above only works if you can prove it. If not you need to start keeping track of the date and time he tells you these things, every single time, write it down. Then give that to your lawyer, that will prove emotional abuse and harrassment. It will also give you an edge in keeping your children.

You can report this to the police & stop his sorry a** leaving the country for a start.
Next get a good Lawyer to fight for half his money & goods. I think you still have a very good chance of getting a settlement because you thought you were married.
If nothing else he is due the children maintencne &, if he is leaving them without a roof over their heads, he will have to provide one for them.
Good Luck. I hope you leave him penniless.

Talk to a lawyer.....and seeing how all his money is in Jamaica....you may have a court order to get half, but chances are you will never see it......however...if you want to get him back, and you have the marriage license...you can get him for many illegal things.....bigomy, fraud, and I am sure at leat a few more things, that the lawyer could tell you about....you may not get his money, but you can make it so he can't get at it also, for a while anyway......

Report him to the police, annull the marriage (you dont have to get a divorce because he married you under a false name) and then sue him!

You need to get off the computer and get yourself a good attorney, how in 8yrs, did you not know that he was lying to you, or were you in denial??? Good luck, and find an attorney, I would be afraid of why he is using a false name.

Call immigration and stop whining. Sitting online and writing this in different ways are not going to change the situation. They are the only ones who can help you.

It doesnt seem you really know your husband at all, especially if you dont even know his name.
What surnames have your children been given?if you gave them their fathers surname then you may have to go to a lawyer to get it changed beacuse it wont be his real name you have given them.
Count yourself lucky to escape,he obviously doesnt want you to know anything about himself and doesnt want you in his life.
I wouldnt even pursue it,i would ask him to help raise the kids(financially),if he doesnt then you may have to go to a lawyer.
He has taken you for a ride and you fell for it and you have been stuck with the kids.
Have you been tested for any diseases?
You should get checked because you really dont know anything about him.

he is still your husband - uses false name only helps you to prove your case --- speak with a divorce lawyer - you are entitled to half of the marital property/money
