Para vs Por - Spanish?

Does anyone have an easy way to learn the difference in the uses of para vs por in the Spanish Language?

The StudySpanish website http://www.studyspanish.com/lessons/porpara.htm has a comparison of when you use each of them. Por is used a lot more often than para.

The last website http://www.caslt.org/research/spgrammar.htm#por has many interactive activities to practice the correct usage of por and para. The rest of that page is pretty good, too.

ASK FOR SOMETHING (PEDIR ALGO)
Don't forget to ask FOR a receipt after you pay. (not Don't forget to ask a receipt after you pay)

BLAME FOR SOMETHING (ECHAR LA CULPA POR ALGO)
Everybody blamed her FOR the accident. (not Everybody blamed her by the accident)

i still have so much trouble with this and I've been taking spanish for a few years. do you have a textbook with a good way to tell the difference? if not, just keep memorizing and practicing. that's the best way. i dunno, maybe someone else had more success than me!

para is used with nouns
por is used with adjectives
